So I am new to shooting all digital, and let me tell ya my external hard drives are filling up FAST!

Here are my questions for you all on archiving/cataloguing etc:

1. What is your workflow immediately after wedding (I shoot RAW, but either)?

2. Once you have edited down to JPEG, then what?

3. Long term what do you do?

Here is what I do:

1. Download all cards in Lightroom to external hard drive, where they stay permanently

2. Copy to portable hard drive, where they are deleted once I am done editing (2 weeks)

3. Upload one catalog to Pictage for archiving

4. Burn Edited images to DVD

Anything I should be doing differently? How long do I need to keep the RAW files? Until the album is done?

Thanks!!!

I burn DVDs of all the RAW files ASAP. I burn a backup DVD of the edited images to keep and one to give to client. And, I have backups of RAW and edited jpegs on external HD that stays there. Yes, you will go through lots of HD. That is the nature of the beast.
