Ive got a really good deal on a 440 EZ speedlite from Canon. I shoot 100% digital, and I heard that these flashes are used for film with the EZ and the EX is more ideal for digital photography. Is this true? What do you think?

well its a good question. EZ flash units are not compatible with ETTL II, they also aren't as efficient as the EX series.... the 580EX and 580EX II are the most efficient and advanced flashes and are the most recommended for digital photography.... they'll run you $400-500 and are worth every penny. Coupled with a Quantum Turbo 2x2, they'll last all day (and then some) on a set of 4 AA batteries.
