The iPhone 3G was released today. Did you/are you getting one?

I responded "your an idiot" for not having a choice "I want one and will get one someday, but do not have a burning desire (or need)" :-)

Just spent some time on one (not mine) I would like to get one. Only problem is I don't care for AT&T's service too much at my house. The iphone I was playing with has poor signal here too so it looks like it hasn't changed since I moved here. You know way out in the boonies in the HEART of that vast wilderness known as the San Francisco Bay area.

That is actually why I switched to verizon from AT&T when I moved out here. I had bad coverage at home, and I work at home, so I almost never have good coverage with AT&T.

Uh...simple minds think a like? thumbsup.gif

I was thinking the same thing before I saw your comment, Jim. I mean I don't usually like to call anyone an idiot...but in this case I had one of those "choose the answer that best fits" flashbacks from grade-school standardized testing daze...

I am interested... more so contemplating. There are a lot of features that I am attracted to but I'm still not sold over my Blackberry.

A big thing holding me back though, is coming from a Blackberry the iPhone's keyboard is terrible... IMO.

I have ordered one. I should get it this week biggrin.gif

Coming from someone who owns the iphone- I think the keyboard is awkard at first- so if you just play with it in the store- you probably wont love it- but once you use it everyday and get use to it- you start to really like it- thats my opinion at least

Actually this is only partially true. What many people don't realize is that the iPhone actually gets used to YOU! It has an intelligent keyboard algorithm that actually learns the way you set your fingers on the screen. It learns your mistakes and quickly learns to correct for how you type. It also predicts what you're going to type based on a series of equations that take into account what letters generally show up with others in commonly used words.... it's really badass.

The iPhone is absolutely the best piece of portable electronic gadgetry that I have ever used. Period.

I'm waiting until the rush calms down (or until luck happens upon me) and I'll be buying a 16 gig white iPhone 3G very soon. In the mean time, my 2G works perfectly and I continue to enjoy using it more than anything else.... that is besides my mac pro

I got it on Saturday and am really liking it so far. I waited over 6 hours in line, that's how much of a Mac geek I am! Sure, I could have waited a few more days or even a couple of weeks and then not had to wait in line but it's almost like a ritual now (I waited over 6 hours to get the first gen. iPhone on the day it came out too).

I took a few pics with it today:

Got mine Saturday and love it...took a couple of times for the battery to get trained but it's going great now!!!!!

Keyboard does some training but once it gets it, it rocks.

I have to carry a Blackberry for work and I would prefer my iPhone any day (may soon may not be an issue with the work not being certain anymore).
