Hey osp - just came across this
product from another OSP'ers blog (actually 2 people) and I was wondering who uses this product and do you love it?
Looks like it would shoot my shooting style
Thanks!

I recently bought two. I have them threaded (
http://blog.tonyschreiber.com/?p=86 ) together and hang a camera at each hip. I've used it for two weddings. It rocks. I love them.
I simply cannot have things hanging around the back of my neck or I get instant and sever headaches. Before this strap I simply hand held my cameras, waiting for the day I forgot and dropped one.
I love the mod for two cameras because it doesn't damage the strap at all. I can't wait to use one when I go hiking. I think it will make all the difference.

i have the rs1 strap from blackrapid.. and yes, it's a very good product! used it a couple of times for weddings and engagement sessions and it simply does what it says in the website.

I have it as well and I love it. I only shoot with one camera, but I carry the Tenba Messenger bag (small) for my other lenses and other stuff. I cross the Tenba strap over my shoulder and across my chest, and the R-strap on the other shoulder across my chest but on top of the Tenba strap. I love the setup and it's fast and allows me to switch lenses fast.

Got it! Love it! One thing I've noticed though, after awhile it loosens up at camera connection, so I'm real careful to check and make sure it's still threaded good and tight. I wouldn't switch back for nothin!!

This is such a great way to do this. I will need to get two and do it this way. Which model are you using?

I got the R2. I might reccommend the R1 as it is a bit bulky and I might just cut the extra pouch off the R2's. On the other hand, I don't have to do the "snap" part of the mod because I can just cross them over and the velcro pouch crosses over each other and holds them together.
This has made all the difference for me. I also have a rotator cuff injury from way back that makes it painfull to wear a backpack. I can walk around, bend down, climb and reach just fine with these at my hips. I added a carabeener at the bottom on each side that attaches to my belt loop/belt just to make me feel better.

I also have this strap and LOVE it!!! I can't see going back to the neck strap....ever. Though I do echo the recommendation to re-tighten it onto your camera every now and then. I've never come close to losing my camera off of it, but have noticed that it loosens up a bit after a while.

I've been eyeing this thing for months... however due to being a bit boobalicious... I'm afraid it might be SUPER uncomfortable. Any thoughts?

That's funny.... Yeah, I am rather well endowed too, but not bothered by the strap at all. I suppose it might emphasize the girls because the strap rests between them, but it is in no way uncomfortable.

Got it a while back and it goes with me to every wedding. It's way comfortable, even though I am not boobalicious, and I love the way the camera falls at my waist even with the 70-200, I LOVE this thing. Get one , Get two! I am going to get another just to try the James Bond sling.

It's great because at the end of the day you aren't walking around like the hunchback of notredame. If you don't have the camera in your hand, I have found that most people don't even notice it until you point it out which comes in pretty handy sometimes and is also pretty funny watching people responses change after the camera had been revealed!
I have the smaller version. I am also boobilicious and it's very comfortable.

Does anyone have a pic of the strap on a camera so we can see what it looks like?

But... I really do love it!

Been wondering this too. I have to have both on my right side, I can't carry a bag and have it sit on my left side - it just feels weird to me. I'm worried that the black rapid strap would interfere with a shoulder bag.

Not really sure about the Boda Bag... but I wear my shootsac on my left hip... and the rapid strap on my right hip.

So you're saying that the rapid strap works as a front-thingie? As opposed to sitting on the hip? I'd have a problem with the hip thing, I think. Wish I could see one in person.

Ok kids, calm down. Back to the subject. Someone asked early on if anyone was using a Black Rapid and a Boda bag. Well, yup, I'm one that does. I put the Boda bag on first the the R Strap over that. I think it works great. The only picture I've found of me wearing both together is me in a reflection so you really can't tell. I'll try and have my assistant take some this weekend.
And now back to boobie talk.

WOW not ONE bad review here. How have I not heard of this thing before???? I think I might have to order one (or two!).

Glad to hear it still works well with a Shootsac/Boda Bag! Anybody do the two strap setup with a Shootsac/Boda Bag??
