Hey Everyone,

Last weekend I had my first double header of 2 weddings in a weekend. It was quite a lot! This wedding actually was very challenging because right before the Kiss during the ceremony my 5d completely died. So I ran for my backup which wasn't right next to me, and when I started using it (20d), it wouldn't communicate with either of my flashes. No matter what settings I had the flash on, it completely fired at full power completely blowing out everything no matter what my flash or camera settings were. So I had to shoot the small amount of formals and the whole reception with no flash! Thankfully I had rented a 24 1.4 which really helped save the day. But still wish I could have been foofing some flash to.

Just to keep he story interesting, when I got home from the wedding that night my computer was all messed up as well. So off to Apple and Canon my gear was to go, but not before my backup decided the next day to go down to and join the others on their trips to gear hospitals, a few hours b4 another shoot. So I had to scramble to borrow a 20d from a friend and that ends my story of chaos this week. Got some pretty cool shots though. Check em out if you like! More on the blog to! Any CC is always welcome.

I love outdoor ceremonies. These are great especially since your camera packed up. Hope you get the camera & computer fixed quickly.

Thanks Sofie. Having the camera "pack up" sure was a surprise. This couple was so different than the one the day before to which was funny. Amy and Greg on Saturday hired me for 12 hours and wanted to take lots of time to go around and get shots. Alexa and Andrew hired me for 6 hours and didn't want to do any posed shots and wanted to keep the group shots under 10 minutes!!! They were so laid back and chill, very nice after an all day wedding the day before where every member of the family was a photographer, so everyone obviously grew up with a camera in their face, so every time I pointed at some one out came the huge cheesy grin!! Yay!!! And they wanted to spend over an hour on group shots.

Any way, hope you're well Sofie!!

You can see just how relaxed the whole thing was by checking out the groom's attire!! That third from the end shot is my fave. I meant to say before just how BEAUTIFUL the Ahwahnee hotel is and how great it must be to shoot there! And yes, I'm doing ok thanks... really hope Paul & I can meet up with you in Yosemite sometime smile.gif

Shawn my man. Sorry to hear about all of the tech problems but you sure showed what a professional you are to have walked away with these fab images!

Really, Great job! Especially under such stress and adversity!

yikes, how did you keep your cool, I would have been going nuts thru all this.

Luckily with weddings I have 2 30d's and a rebel plus what my second is shooting with, but still you never know huh.

OMG. What a disaster. However you did a brilliant job despite your tech problems. Dunno what I would have done in this case. I think I would have gone nuts.

oh my! That sound awful! I think I would have cried! But...I love your pictures. The colors are so awesome and the pictures are so sharp and crisp. Great job! My favorites are 5 and 14.

I would have been freaking out! You still did an amazing job through all the chaos. biggrin.gif
I just love the way the groom is looking at her and how you captured it. So sweet!
