Has anyone had any experience with WHCC flush mount albums? Just checking to see what the quality is like and if it is good for a "value" album.
Thanks!

WHCC doesn't do a flush mount, in the sense that Leather Craftsmen or Graphi does. They print and bind the prints in an album, but don't mount the prints. The new "lay-flat" hinged albums rock. The older ones they had really weren't very good, but they've stepped it up.

I love the new hinged album and so do my clients. i just did my first one for a client for a gust book and the guests couldn't stop talking about it- it was a complete hit. You'll love it.

this is news to me. I was just on the WHCC website and only saw hinged press printed books. Does anyone have a link to what they are discussing?

I was talking about the hinged press book.

I think that is what the op was asking about, just used the wrong definition?

guess I was thinking the wrong thing, been looking at so many the last few days just got a little confused about this one

So it's not something that would replace a flush mount wedding album then, right?

I don't think it would. However I did deliver one today, a 30 page 10x10. The client was on a budget, and I used this album as a compromise. They loved it. It won't replace a traditional flush mount for a higher end album.

Maybe I can position it that way. Let her know what flush mount albums actually run and then let her know this is more like a coffee table book. I think the problem is there are a few photogs in the area that include an "album" in their pricing. A friend of mine had chosen a photog based on a budget and was told the package included a flush mount album, turned out to be an asuka book. I'll want to make sure I explain the difference up front now.
