After toiling with wordpress and blogger for so long we really wanted to get a blog that suited us well. We wanted something that not only looked good on the outside but performed well on the back end, not to mention insane SEO. That meant custom blog time...

We can't say a whole lot about our blog designers yet or how the back end works but hold onto your socks their blogging service is quickly going to become the industry standard!

Anyways head to the new blog and let me know what you think!

Looks great Rob!! You must be stoked!!

So I went through it, and am curious, whats the new features that aren't already on others custom blogs? I think it looks great, but couldn't find a new feature that I haven't seen on Flosites, Infi Design, and ITDR blogs. So I'd love to hear what makes this one unique. Is it the backend? or SEO?

Is fotojournal going to be a service like blogger or wordpress instead of them making custom blogs that we host on our own servers?

At the moment the Fotojournal guys are working on getting everything ready for the full launch, so I can't say much about what goes on in the backend. But it's a blog totally designed for use by photographers - not something Wordpress or Blogger can claim! And they aren't just another custom blog provider, they really want to create something that everyone can use, not just those who can drop $3,000+ on a new blog!

Plus these guys really know what they are doing with SEO. The last blog they did for us (www.theweddingtravelers.com) gained a Google Page Rank of 5 within a few months.

From what I see right now, the SEO is not at all optimized. The title tag on the permalinks never change. There is no custom meta description for the posts content either.

Cool! I don't know what any of that means, but I'll forward it to our designers!

I am a proclaimed blog stalker of yours since your traveling wedding blog went up.....my dh travels to India for biz and he only brings home like 5 pics of the place....anyhoo...LOVE your blog. I can really just "know" you two!!
