Just wanted to pass along this info for anyone who might need the services of data recovery experts. A gentleman at work referred me to this company. They are WAY more reasonably priced than anyone else I've seen or heard about. Even if they have to disassemble the drive in a clean room, it's affordable.

Don't forget, if you are a PPA member, these services can be covered by the trust if you have wedding/client files on them... I remember heather of the legal team mentioning they do a lot of these (refer for the trust)

Great reminder! Thanks! Fortunately I'm rather anal about image file backups but got a couple weeks behind on some admin type files. Of course, now I have an automated system in place for everything.

I've had real good luck with hard drives my entire life, but this one just up and died without warning.
