So, I have a few things I need to fix, some slight overlooks I did with some layer masks, cleaning up the files a bit, removing my sample pictures, etc.. but I thought I'd create a little file to show everyone the variety you can get with the borders I'm working on. Right now I have about 120 backgrounds, I also included some samples on how to manipulate them easily to make them look/match a color you need.

Would love to hear your input, really!

I'm really excited about these-do you know about what you'll charge yet?

Those are really cool!
Just so I'm understanding... the borders don't apply the antique color effect, do they? I really like the look!
I'd like to see a before and after with a single image. A before with nothing -- no border, no tape, just the straight image. Then the after however it would look once brought into your PS file, with a bit of a short description of what you had to do to get the result (drag in the image as a layer, resize, spin, ???).
I hope that's not asking too much!
The sample looks really cool!

This is where I'm a little perplexed to be honest, I've never sold anything like this.. There are a couple out there that I've seen that I thought were pricey, 12 backgrounds, 1 frame, $120. Now, as I mentioned in another thread, I've spent anywhere from 40-60 hours working on single frames, seperating, creating effects, etc. My other problem is, should I break out the backgrounds into groups of say, 30? And offer one frame with each background? That would give 4 sets.. and if someone wanted the complete set, I'd offer them a 5th set free.. I still have more backgrounds and frames to process, about another 200 backgrounds and at least 9 more frames. I'm trying to get an idea what a good value would be, at the same time not giving everything away... so yeah.. workin on it.To answer the other questions.. the images started off, at least the bottom one, cross processed with Exposure from Alien Skin. So, what you do is you enable the layer group you want (like antique) and edit the year & month (if you so desire..), which yes, you can change. Then you plop your image in right above a layer marked "clipping mask." Once you do that you hold down the alt key (uh.. mac?) and click on your photo you just dropped above the clipping mask. What that does is makes your image the same shape as the mask. You can transform/move your image to taste and then enable any special effects layers above.I may add something like, a sepia or cross-process effect layer, I'm still working and putting a lot of time into these to make them very flexible and worthwhile to own.Just an idea of the backgrounds.. there are a few in here that aren't in the release because they have photos in them.. because of the way the photo was inserted they will be multi-layered backgrounds.. with no fasteners.. since for instance, one is stuck in tree bark.. another in cracked plaster... Sorry for the low quality.. just saved them low vs uploading to my site.. too much to do!!!
