Full Version: why aren't my blog images BIG???

I am using the ProPhoto theme for Wordpress, and when I first started using it my images were nice and BIG, as wide as the single column of my blog. I loved that! But, the last couple of posts I made they are small again, especially the horizontal images. I don't understand why. I sized them the same as the ones that appear big on previous posts (900 pixels wide). What happened? I don't even know where to begin in figuring this out.

Screen shot below, and of course you can see more of the problem on my blog.

When you are saving the images to the media gallery, are you then going back, clicking in "Show" the gallery and then clicking on "Full Size" instead of "Medium"??? I'm going to guess that might be the problem ... what beautiful images too! Good luck - and if all else fails, going back to Jared's tutorial on posting may indicate where a step has been skipped.

If that isn't the problem as Gail has said, go to Design/Theme Editor section in your wordpress account. On the right hand side click on Theme Functions. Go to the bottom of the page and it should say:

<?php $content_width = 900 ?>

900 is the width you want your photos. Change that number if it isn't correct. If this doesn't work I'd email Jarred and ask him what the problem is.

Thank you guys for the suggestions! AnothyL took a look at it and discovered that the HTML for each image was limited to 500 pixels across. I'm not sure how that got changed, since it was fine before.

Cathy, you are right. The setting got changed. All fixed now though!

I appreciate it!
