Hi guys. I am so frustrated. I have a 5D...never had an issue. This weekend I shot 2 weddings. The first one, clear to the very last picture...no issues. The second one, starting with the very first image there is a blue (very straight) line in the image on the lower left up to about halfway up the image. Anyone know what could have caused it? The entire shoot has it when at full screen size. I will attach, but I don't know if it will show well here or not. Look at the wood underneath the window. Any thoughts appreciated...going to Canon tomorrow, but maybe someone has had this problem before and can help.
Pam
Bump.

Pam, I don't see it.Perhaps if you cropped into close and posted that?
Amanda Sue
i don't see anything either ?
Becka-and-Nate
I see it, it looks like part of the wood until you see that it goes up into the window...

I don't have a 5D so I don't know but I just wanted you to know I can see it so you don't feel like you're crazy. smile.gif
Amanda Sue
ohh I see it now too. I have no clue what that is from, I hope they can fix it for you quickly!

Pam
You guys will love this! My 5D may have a bad CMOS ($1600!). I bought it on July 5th of last year....this is the 3rd! WOW! Thanks for the input...my only problem now is that I have to shoot with my 20D for the next wedding...bummer. I guess I will live. Thanks all!
Pam
It was the CMOS. They are replacing the part and it will cost me $290 after I show them the sales receipt. They also told me that they have a 2 month grace period which means it is covered until 14 months. Good to know.

Conradp04
what are you saying that it's not covered under warranty? or would have it been free if it was within one year of purchase...
Jennifer Grigg
Why is it costing $290? It sounded like a manufacturers defect?
Pam
I guess the labor is still charged after a certain point? When I pick it up on Monday, I will ask.

Pam
Well, they fixed it! And it didn't cost me a dime! I love Canon!
