Anyone uses a software that will burn a folder of files, say 10g onto multiple disks without compression, I hope, or at least do it without having to divide the files manually and then burn to to DVD.

Toast for the Mac (Disco is cheaper but seems to make a larger number of coasters).
PC? Sorry, I don't remember....

My studio assistant has been looking for ages for a pc software that is as good as Toast 9 - apparently there isn't one out there - which seems incredible to me, but he's been searching for ages.

I use Back up & Burn on my PC . . . love, love, love it!!!

Roxio can do that. They're the ones that make Toast.

For photos... I use Archive Creator. But for data.... no clue.
Archive Creator is nice, will create index pages, tell you what pictures are on what disc, etc. It's what I used to deliver my high res negs to clients.. so it's not just a disc of images.
