Hey all, so I have had such awesome success with my first volume of templates that I sold for Fotofusion and Photoshop, that I will be spending the next couple weeks designing the second volume smile.gif

Does anyone have any requests as for what kind of templates they would like to see for wedding albums? White backgrounds with very simple design? Black backgrounds with very simple design again? Something a little more artsy with sloppy borders and little keystroke graphic elements? Guest signature albums?

Let me know what you guys think biggrin.gif

I'd love to see the use of graphical elements (kind of like you can get with the Fotofusion Albums you can buy). But I'd love to see a variety.

I'd like to see some more artsy ones too. I like the graphics added to some of the ones I've seen out there.

I love your first set and have been using them to design my baby albums as well.

Dustin,

Yeah! I love your templates I use them all the time. As for a wish list.

Maybe a little of the artsy stuff would be cool.

I use the albums for so many things besides weddings.

Ever since Lumapix added the open archiving where files could be shared openly, it has made it possible to archive each one of these new templates individually for easier use smile.gif Now instead of accessing all 150 templates at once, the new volume will allow you to add single spreads into your project. It's going to be freaking awesome and you guys are going to love it smile.gif

Anyways, before I get too far into the design process, I was wondering if someone with fotofusion v4 extreme would be willing to help me test a couple files to make sure I archive them correctly and make them work correctly and efficiently for everyone. Will someone with FF give me a phone call real quick smile.gif I would appreciate it smile.gif Love y'all.

I'm a big fan of simple, non-touching images with white backgrounds--emphasis on pictures.

Have fun--can't wait to see what you come up with!

i have the templates but do not have FF... I know it has been said that you can use these templates in CS3 as well... but I have yet to figure out how to do that.. do I just resize the photos to fit the prescribed spots? I know in FF you can just drag and drop right? but is there a way to do that with CS3 that I am not aware of?? anyone use these templates without FF??

Chelsea,

My vol 1 came in two different formats, the FF format, and multi layered PSD files for photoshop. Make sure your files are PSD in order for them to work in PS. FF is just drag and drop, while the photoshop has a couple more steps to insert the photos. All of the templates are fully customizeable though (frames can be moved, deleted, copied, background colors changed, etc).

If you are having any troubles, feel free to give me a call tonight and I can walk you through it over the phone and re email the download links for the PS files if that's what you need smile.gif Hope to hear from you soon.

I would love it if you'd do some different sized templates instead of all square? And if it's possible to adapt the current ones to a rectangular book please let me know... wink.gif cause I've not figured that out yet

Scottlyn,

It would only take me 2 minutes to resize the templates to any dimension you need, and then another 15 minutes to zip and upload them for download. What size were you thinking of?

What does everyone else think? Do the majority use square albums like me? What are some common sizes that you guys use that you would like to see designed? Let me know as I am working away on these as we speak smile.gif

I would love to see some with some graphic elements in them. Some borders and brush strokes ect ect ect.

It would make it super easy to throw an album together.

You are awesome Dustin! i would love a 9x12 or 10x13

Hey all, I just wanted to show you what I have come up with so far. I have never used graphic elements before so I hope these don't look too cheesy and horrible. A lot of these are variations as I am really trying out some new things. My albums are almost 100% black backgrounds with white key strokes.

Check out this album slideshow on 30 spreads I created in the past 5 hours and let me know if this is what you guys are looking for and what else you would like to see.

Many more to come, so stay posted.

The ones that you see in the albums were purchased from the Lumapix store, but you can find them almost anywhere. A good place to look is PhotoDUDS

I also found a bunch of free photoshop brushes at this website

I love them. When can I buy it?

Really I have an album I have been procrastinating on because I just don't have the right graphics, but these rock.

They are not quite ready yet, but I am guessing in a day or two tongue.gif I have 30 double page spreads and am hoping to complete another 20 to sell as a set of 50. So very soon tongue.gif I will post a new topic when they are complete and will begin taking sales. So stay tuned, these will be available in 12x12, 10x10, 8x8, 9x12 and 10x13 (just for you Scottlyn, lol). As always, they will be available in single spread files for fotofusion so you can pick and choose each template per project, as well as multi layered PSD files for photoshop users. Thanks everyone for your support with vol 1 wink.gif

Dustin,

Did you ever get a volunteer for your testing. If not, I'll do it.

I think having other size choices would be great. How about Graphi sizing. 9x12, 9.5x13, and 12x16 all have pretty much the same ratios (1.33ish) so they would be perfect more your book style. That would be a nice addition.

This is really great Dustin,

You know that I have been hounding you for months now to create a new set of templates, so I am in line to purchase your new set. I vote for a mixture of the new style with designs and a continuation of templates similar to your first set.

Looking forward to getting them. The samples look great.

These are great Dustin. Simple and elegant. I love the first set. For anyone on the fence about buying, get them, get them all.

Dustin i had to delete your set to free up space on my HD while traveling so i don't have them anymore.

But anyway i'm going to start designing in InDesign so i'm just dropping you a note to get some of your designs converted over to Indesign since it seems like the future.

Aloha and thanks bro.
Jayme-G
those are great, I still haven't bought your first set. Eventually, as I get doing more books I will have to pick these up.

I really love fotofusion!!
