Full Version: I found THE SHOES!

I've seen many a post on here on what shoes are good for shooting weddings in, and I have been on such a search myself.

I bought a pair last Friday night out of desperation, and I couldn't have made a better purchase. I try to dress like a guest at weddings and blend in, so I wanted heels I could wear all day and not be killing my feet in. Tall order, I know. But, I can honestly say that I shot 14 hours on my feet on Saturday and my feet felt like they were walking on a Tempurpedic mattress all day. No pain at all.

The shoes are by Beautifeel (www.beautifeel.com). They aren't cheap, they are going to run you at least 100 bucks a pair, proubably more. But if you can get thru a wedding day feeling better than you would in tennis shoes and look good doing it - well worth it in my book. Not all of their styles are especially chic, but they have several that are.

Hope it helps someone!

Out of curiousity..which ones did you buy? I would love a pair of comfy shoes!

I can't believe I'm giving advice on women's shoes on an internet forum, but...

My wife and several of our female photographer friends swear by Dansko clogs. They're not particularly attractive, but they are apparently very comfortable smile.gif

As a related not to male photographers, a weddings is the only place you'll find me wearing square-toed shoes smile.gif

I bought the ones called Begonia I think. They are black crocodile, with two straps across the front, adjustable, no back, heels. The straps are like a loop and a pass-through. I didn't have any problems keeping them on despite the lack of ankle strap and I have fairly narrow feet.

I tried on a few others by the same company at the store and they all had the same cushioning/footbed structure.

Hope you find a pair that works for you!
