All I want is a slideshow with all the images fit to the song, of equal length, with equal length cross fades, and the default zoom to center.

How do I do that?

Meredith Williams
Hi John,

I think I know what you mean... What I do is figure out how many seconds my song is, divide that by the number of images... that gives you the time you should set for slide duration.. for example:

song is 3 min 28 sec = 208 seconds
number of images = 67
208/67=3.1

As for the default zoom to center, you can either set that at the start page, or move the red X on each image once you're inside the project.

Hope thats what you were looking for smile.gif

That's basically how I'm using ShowIt Web... but with the "Fit to song" option ! It works like a charm ! No calculation needed, exact timing.

We used Showit and did not want all the features it offers. We also wanted something clean, keeping the images crisp and transitions flawless. So we got Soundslides. We love it for the simple format and the quick adjustments to the slideshows. Good Luck!

Apple's iDVD is still our top choice for its simplicity.

1. Create new show
2. Browse image directory
3. Set height & width, JPG quality etc.
4. set Zoom to center
5. set folder to save projects and create show.

6. Set your options in Customize Page
7. Click Timing
8. Find the song you want under Choose Music
9. Click Record Timing
10. Click "Fit to Song" then click Apply.
11. Set any other options you want in Controls.
12. Save & preview

13. Upload your show.

I found out the problem. As long as you start with a plain vanilla show and don't do anything to the timeline, you're ok. But if you apply a recorded timeline, you can never get it back to normal.
Todd Watson
If you choose the first "--None" timing template and apply, whatever pieces of your timing are checked will be removed (Slide Timing, Movement, Transitions, Music). It's an easy way to reset your timing for a show.
jkantor
Doesn't work. There's always a couple of slides that keep the old timing.

So happy to see your name on here again, John! biggrin.gif

Anyone know anything about the lifetime subscription for Showit Sites??
Thanks!
