My church had a “Night of Worship” that recorded for a DVD. Everyone worked hard to pull this off. Here are some shots I took during the concert. This was my first experience shooting in this kind of environment. I did enjoy it though. Just thought I would share these with you.
Has anyone else ever done this that would have any tips?
The tip I have would be if you had any say so is DON’T have anyone were white. Our video guys had the same problem. We did tell everyone not to but we did have a special guest at the last minute come in from out of town and all he had brought with him was white shirts.

You did well. Would be good to get some more close ups - capturing the facial expressions. (Especially of the worship leader)

Here is a link to some shots from a "Big Tent Event" with the worship and items. I had better lighting/smoke effects, but found it was great to create back light and rim light by positioning myself so that the person was in front of a stage light (that was behind them) and there for rim light, back lighting became effective.

Here are some below:

Those are great.
I didn't have a lens long enough to reach that close.
Tried to rent one.

Is that RayGene Wilson? My friend just flew there from Ohio (but really from England) to visit his church over the weekend.
