So I'm debating between the 17-40mm f/4 or the 16-35mm f/2.8 for my 5D. Do you think it's worth double the cost for the faster glass? I'm so torn and just curious what others think. Thanks for your help.

Zak,

The 2.8 will give you some low light/ indoors (no flash) capability that you will not get w/ the 4.0. The 2.8 is pretty nice glass.....

Go for the 17-35 2.8 if you are looking for a solid wide. If you are looking for something a little more versatile, I would look at the 28-70 2.8. Yes it is worth the money.

If you are shooting weddings you will need fast glass. The lens will pay for itself.
