I recently changed my pricing and Im finding it very quiet. Im wondering if my price strategy is inconsistent or not. Basically I charge one flat fee for my wedding service and I include some proof stuff, online galleries, flash shows etc. What I then do is a a la carte offering for what I call options....albums, prints etc. Is this generally perceived as too confusing? What has been the experience out there? Do you find that clients generally dont know what they want and then as such, cant figure out a budget?

Id love to hear what you all think.

I think it's just sort of an off-time in the booking season in general. I do packages, but I know a lot of people here use your system and seem really happy with it, so don't get too discouraged. smile.gif

because my base price covers how much i want to make off each wedding, regardless of what they order. i dont care if they order one 8x10 - i've made what i am happy to make on a wedding, so there, no stress.

anything they do end up ordering ala cart is just more icing for the cake.

I hear that. In some ways, I kinda agree. I do like to do my albums though and very often thats the WOW factor with my referrals. I may be in the booking low season for real. ill wait and see.
