So I ordered a 5D from www.buydig.com about a week and a half ago. My account at my bank only allowed $750 purchases so they declined and canceled my order. To my suprise after ordering a 40D through instead (wish I could have ordered the 5D, but just sent the 40D back to do so through b&h), I had a $1897.00 charge on my account today. Buy Dig pushed the transaction through after it was canceled. I called them to see what was going on and got hung up on twice. Assuming the 5D does arrive, I will be ok with that, but the customer service was unacceptable. Does anyone have any experiences with them??

A couple of years ago I ordered a D70s from them. I was nervous because of the good price. I assumed it would = problems. When I received the camera, there was a problem with the mirror shifting around. I called and they immediately sent a new one and paid for the old one to come back.
They may have changed in the past few years but I was impressed with my transaction. Haven't ordered anything since then, though.

I have bought several lenses and a body through them and been very pleased with the price and service. I have had no issues with reaching them on the phone.

Well, I was hung up on twice yesterday, but the guy I talked to today was very helpful. Since the first time the card didn't go through the system tried again 12 days later and did go through. He upgraded my shipping and I should have my 5D on Friday!!

I like BuyDig. When I ordered my 5D it was supposed to come with a free 2GB CF. When it arrived, the 5D was mint, but there was no free 2GB card. I called and they sent one right away by air and also upgraded it to a 4GB. Pretty cool.
I've had nothing but incredible experiences with buydig. Been using them for over 5 years for everything. They are super cheap and usually dead-on with shipping and all sorts of stuff. I would definitely chalk your experience up as aberrant.
