First, I have to say that we have never done anything like this before and it was an adventure. This is an example of doing a show with no experience and on a very limited budget. You can check out the picture to see what our booth ended up looking like. What I really want to share is our experience, in the hope that it may be helpful to some of you. smile.gif

Well, the diapers indeed proved to be a HUGE hit. Having something that could be given out, that stood out, proved to be a great conversation starter and helpful to the mommies. Plus they thought the were really cute. We ran out 3 hours before the show was over! Our cards were also very popular, with many people talking about how neat they were, and how they were different. The HUGE canvas prints, well, lets just say Pixel2Canvas rocks! It was so great meeting so many new people, including vendors. Although, it was very hot!

Time will indeed tell if this was worth the effort but so far it is looking good. We booked 3 clients that day. We had moms bringing other moms to our booth "saying this is who I was telling you about." And EVERYONE we talked with simply loved what we were doing. It was really surreal.

The things I think were most helpful:

1. Giving away something helpful, if you are going to give something away.
2. Talking with potential clients that show an interest and finding out what is important to them.
3. Being relaxed, friendly, and positive.

I really think that after everything is said and done people buy into YOU. This is all just my $.02. I hope this helps some of you.

Grace and Peace,

Crystal

Yes, the diapers were cloth. Not sure as to the number that attended, several thousand though. We had somewhere around 250 diapers that we handed out. But each diaper we handed out was also someone we talked with. We already got three bookings! yay! smile.gif Thanks girl.

Did you post about the diapers before? Were they special diapers - or just cloth ones? Just curious -- I feel like I'm missing something as I read this! biggrin.gif

I did post about the diapers before. smile.gif They are regular cloth diapers that we died green. We then folded them up to look like little diapers, pinned them, and tied a bow on them. They had our logo on the back. smile.gif

I sure hope it does too, but mainly they will be used as burp clothes. I think the dye will stay though, it stayed on my skin for a good 2 weeks. ha!
