Hi OSP!
Well, I am seriously planning on making that move to FT photography. Am I crazy or what?
And, as part of planning my move I wanted to ask who'd you recommend for health and dental insurance? Thank you in advance for your help and I look forward to checking out your responses!

blue cross blue shield?
I think if you sign up for PPA membership, they offer insurance at a discounted rate.
Just be careful for things like pre-exsisting conditions & make sure you get a good co-insurance!

Come on guys... Are there no people on here who have health insurance, and can give us more info?
I am not full time; primarily for the same reason.
I would think the majority of folks on OSP would have answers for you SAM THE MAN ; )

I have Humana through the PPA discount program and I am happy with it. I have shopped around and and I think it is the best deal for me.
I get good rates and the coverage has not been bad so far.
the key is to shop around and get quotes from a few different sources.

Check out this thread. I found it when I needed info on this kind of stuff and it helped.

Other than that, if you're a member of PPA, look them up and get some info on what they can offer. Its a good starting place for us photogs.

Blue Cross Blue Shield has pretty good stuff for individuals.
Or Canada.

Seriously, don't get me started on healthcare in the US.
