Nadil,

most IR filters that go onto your lens will require intolerably long exposure times. You might want to look into an IR converted body instead.

Are your sure your camera's sensor will even pick up the IR? Some of them won't work well unless they are modified. You won't be able to focus accurately with an infrared filter on, so you'll have to put the camera on a tripod, adjust the focusing, then put the filter on for every picture. And the exposure times will be long. Plus it's not that flattering to human subjects. This is one of those rare times where I'd recommend faking it in PS over trying to do it in the field.
