I'm in the final stages of creating a logo to get all my materials and tools consistent in look and feel. What I'd like to know is if this logo looks too similar to any other photographers you've encountered before. It's a simple, clean design so I figured it may have been done before.

Appreciate any insight...

Thanks!

I don't think it necessarily looks too similar to another photographer's logo. It feels safe and corporate. It's certainly clean. I think some attention should be paid to the kering. The whole thing feels loose, almost like a bunch of separate elements rather than a single unit.

Overall, it's not a bad effort; just a little common in my opinion.

But, we all know my opinin is worth $.02.

Ha! Well, maybe your $0.02 has gained a little value over the years. wink.gif Appreciate the CC.

I agree, it is pretty simple and safe...probably my lack of creative artistry and direction to my designer more than anything here. I know how to manage a look; just not create one. But you're right...safe!

Thanks for the notes on the kerning. You're right...we could tighten it up and bring it all together.

I like it- I think it is effective and simple- and thats a good thing when it comes to logos- No harm in using Trajan- it always looks nice- I think it might be more effective to adjust the kerning of the bottom part- photograher or whatever- but it might look cool to keep your name spaced out like that to give the two contrast. Just my two cents

I agree with Kevin - but the font reminded me of something hilarious...

Appreciate the perspective...and you've given me pause to play around with it more, but yes, I am trying to keep it simple so hopefully it becomes easily recognizable.Thank you for the ideas!

Okay, I about fell out of my chair! This was hilarious! And I didn't even recognize that we were using Trajan. Too funny!
