I was SO excited when Justin's aunt contacted me to see if I would do pictures of his proposal..... I have always wanted a chance to do these up right. I got to practice my skills. You can read more on my blog but here's the link to the show... and, of course, some pictures.

Oh so much fun! I love that you got a shot of him sneaking the ring box out of his pocket. That's priceless! I love 2, 3, 4, and 6 too.

T- I KNOW, I got goosebumps just watching it and I took the pics!!! So sweet! I hope they will hire me for the wedding. I can only imagine what those pics will look like.

It looks like you were super stealthy-I'd love to see a shot of you hiding in the bushes!

I love the silhouette shott in b&w with the tree branches framing them. I also enjoyed the shot where she looks back and it looks like she finally realizes they were photographed the entire time. Stealth photographer, you should put that as a new portrait package.

Amy - Yeah, I realized from all this that I'm totally NOT quiet. Nope, no genetic factors leaning me that way at all! Lucky for me that 1) She was totally into him. 2) There was a healthy breeze blowing to mask my noise, although it made it hard 'cause the branches would blow into my way at times.

I loved this shoot! And I've already had a few calls from the family and an email from the bride-to-be....they are THRILLED! Whoo-hoo!

Thanks Graeme! I SO couldn't though....I'm just not quiet enough. I never realized how noisy it is to walk through the woods. Fortunately there are a bunch of laurel bushes growing around the mountains here. Their branches are far enough apart that I could squeeze in. I scouted the location the day before (in the rain! ) to find the right spot so I could tell him where to be. I moved branches back and out of the way then so that I could slip right in when they got there. It worked beautifully.

Later I moved out into plain sight...she said she just thought I was a crazy bird lady...she had no idea till he pointed me out that I was taking their pictures. She even asked me to take one with her camera!
