Full Version: Can DJ modify this forum?

DJ, I think it would be great to find a way to give thread starters in the Opp&Giving section a way to close or lock their thread, once they've decided that they aren't accepting any more submissions. We have this happen every time, especially on very popular wedding offerings, where dozens will post their info after the original poster has said they are done accepting names, but unless you scroll through and read all the replies, you wouldn't know this. Can this be done? Or at least give the original poster a way to edit their post even after replies have been posted, which we currently cannot do. That way the OP can edit their post to say that the particular wedding is now closed, etc.

Anyone know where to look, I'll look....

We need one that says "Delete Post", only accessible by the original poster.

It would have to be something that was open to the whole forum so unfortunately we can't make it category specific. sad.gif

well could we make people able to edit their original post, even after there are replies, and make that across-the-board? that would be easy enough and get the job done
Alyssa Lang
yeah I think that'd be a good idea.

On a side note Chris- you're shooting my friends Ryan and Lauren's wedding next month down here. See you then. smile.gif

Tim Dennis Locked Topic Used Photo Gear FS: 1D Mark II - Great condition $1700

It's possible now - not sure what DJ did, but it appears possible to lock your own topics now. Just FYI. smile.gif

i think maybe better than being able to lock a topic would be to just be able to edit the original post after you've gotten replies, which you cannot do now.

and FYI, i don't see any way to lock this thread.
