I'm using Open Office. I'm in the process of creating a document that I'd like to be able to email to client's who are out of town. It will have all of their numbers and pertinent info on it. (Until now I've taken notes. wacko.gif )

I'd like them to be able to type in the info and then email it back to me, and I'd like to keep it pretty and not mess up the formatting. I can't use a PDF since they won't be able to fill it out. (Yes, I realize they could print it, write on it, scan it and email it to me, but I'm trying to make things easy.) Does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about it, or do I want something I can't have?

I know you can do it in Adobe Acrobat Professional. Do you have that?

I think you can create a PDF file online at www.Acrobat.com

I just signed up and you can create up to 5 PDFs.

There do exist fillable PDFs, actually. A real quick Google search turns up a couple third-party sites that might be promising if you don't want to invest in Acrobat Pro (which would definitely create them).

If you know your way around HTML code, you might be able to look into setting up a web form for them to fill out, too. Just make the form formatted like your contract and let them type in everything and hit Submit. You don't get a signature, but you wouldn't get one of those on any digitally filled form.

I had a form custom designed, I just don't know how to link it to my website.

Hey Michelle!

I am curious to see how you've used this! Is there a way I can see??? It looks cool but I am trying to figure out how to work it...

I use ShootQ. Simply put, the client can fill out my online form no matter where they are (since it's online) and update their info as necessary. If they choose to book me, I can have shootQ send them a digital contract and they can go ahead with the booking process completely online, filling out details, picking packages, etc.

Only way to go in my book. I tried numerous times to come up with an info form that I was happy with... no such luck. ShootQ has saved me so much time it's ridiculous!
