Ok...so normally I just tear my hair out by the end of making the slideshow by dragging the photos where I need them to be. But I find Showit is hard to change the order of files in and the whole process is very frustrating.
I have about 500 files from a wedding that were taken on several memory cards. Hence all of the photos are in the wrong order, depending on the memory card used. A friend suggested that sorting by date shot would put them all in the right order for me. This may be worlds most simple task, but its not working for me. They are all still messed up. Ceremony files showing up in the middle of the reception, first dance during shots from the park. I have no idea how I can quickly sort these to put them in her slideshow.
Is there something I can do to sort by time maybe? I can't find an option and I am not sure what I should do, short of manually change each of the file names to represent where it should be in the show. This seems terribly tedious and I am certain I am jsut missing somethiing.
Could someone save me some precious hours (and a lot of hair pulling?)
Thanks so much!

Do you have the program Bridge? That is a life saver for me. Just quickly put the pictures in order and then hit the rename button.

In bridge or lightroom sort by capture time. If you cameras were off on their time, you can adjust the time in the metadata in lightroom. Then renumber them after they are in order.

Everyone has it on the head. You can move pics in SIW as well but it is way easier in Bridge and or LR.

How do I adjust the time in the metadata? The camera time must be off because they are still all mixed up even when sorted by capture time.

Ok...so I managed to get it all worked out last time and this time the problem is worst. I adjusted the times in the camera so when I sort by time, they all look wonderful. Everything in its proper place, according to time.
So I renamed all the files and uploaded them to Show It and they are in no sembelance at all of order. Getting ready shots in the middle of the ceremony, posed shots before she is in the dress. Nothing all all like it looks when I look at it with windows or Lightroom. I am completely frustrated because they aren't even close to right. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong?
Sorry, I feel like I am beating a dead horse, but I have used Show It with not issues for over a year and now I can't make this slideshow make sense at all...
Thanks in advance for any help you might have.
