Just thought I'd share some shots from a recent trip up to Yosemite and Tuolumne for fun! Got to hang out with some great friends and enjoy the beautiful nature.

Hey Shawn. Congrats on Rangefinder bro. That was so awesome to get it today and get to see what everyoe has been talking about. Way to go!!!! I love the one above of the climber with the lake in the background. They're all great though. Anyway, I've got 2 trips coming over the next 2 months. Lake Tahoe in July and Yosemite in August. I've got a gear question for you. Do you ever use neautral density filters when you're shooting your landscapes?

glad to see that there's so little snow hanging around up there... hiking the JMT next month and want to see as little snow as possible (my like hike through the JMT was in May 04 and there was snow snow snow snow snow blah... lol)

Thats awesome you're hiking the JMT. How long are you gonna take? Are you starting at Whitney or in Yosemite. I don't have any weddings in July and will be hiking in the Sierra a lot, so maybe we'll cross paths.

Hey Shawn! You LOVE the mountains and I just LOVE you and your work. I am so happy that you have such a love and talent for capturing the beautiful nature that we have to enjoy and respect! You are definately one of a kind and have such an awesome purpose with your talent! LOVE them all!

Yeah, I'm excited to be up/out there hiking some miles.

We only have 10 days as a group (one of my buddies scheduling a sailing trip the day after!!!!) but me and another guy have 2 extra days just in case!

Basically, we did it in 12-13 days in the snow, so we're crossing our fingers that we're ready to push it in 10. We all think we've bit off more than we can chew, but at the same time, we're gonna give it all we've got and see what happens!

Starting Yosemite Valley July 6 probably around noonish... hoping to finish at Whitney on July 15.

I'm not sure where I'll be, but since you'll be coming thru my back yard I'd love to try and meet you. Maybe when you pass thru Tuolumne. You should give me a call when it gets a little closer. I may do a trip through The evolution area in mid July, but you will probably have already passed through. You're stoked for a JMT trip!!!! I'm jealous.

we'll be passing through Red's Meadow for a re-supply and to pick up another friend on the trail on Sunday, July 6... and if ou wanted to try and meet anywhere along the trail after that you can see the proposed mileages on my blog: blog.halbergphotographers.com

Last time I was in Evolution Valley was in the middle of a huge snow storm on our last thru-hike of the JMT and we crossed the Evolution River at about chest deep with 6+ inches of snow on either bank... I'm looking forward to seeing it in the summer! I hear it's BEAUTIFUL!
