Please dont hate me for asking this. I have searched around various forums beforehand, but I need some assistance with selecting a rolling travel case, such as a Think Tank or Tamrac, or other.

I know there is a large respect and following for the Think Tank cases (Airport Security, etc), and I think the product is great (maybe a bit heavy on the price tag) but I was just curious if anyone has experience (pros/cons) with other brands such as Tamrac.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

I LOVE my thinktank airport security. Love. Lust. Desire. Want to grow old with it. Top quality materials and manufacturing.

That said...I thought the tamrac rollers were heavier and priced similarly.

Thank you everyone for your input. Looks like this is going to be a well considered purchase. I am still leaning towards the Think Tank, but I will probably check out the other brands as well, hopefully I will be able to go to Samys and compare them side-by-side.

Thanks again!!

Please get a think tank. You can combo lock the zipper. You can lock your laptop into the bag. It has a cable so you can lock it to a tree, bar or anything. It's light. The wheels are incredible and smooth. It also has this amazing hitch in the retractable handle that allows you to lower it most of the way and use it as a carrying handle. GREAT for stairs. It's the most well-thought out piece of equipment I've ever owned. And if you use a laptop, get the artificial intelligence laptop carrier to go with it. Oh and it has emergency shoulder straps which don't add almost ANY bulk. It's really incredible, if expensive. Best purchase I've made excepting my 24 1.4.
