I am trying to plan my vacation and Im wanting to go on a cruise..I've never been on one before. Are they worth it? I've heard good and bad. What do you recommend

We took a Royal Caribbean cruise to the Mexican Riviera a few years ago. I really liked Royal Caribbean, but the Mexican Riviera was not all that great. We went on a cruise to the Bahamas and Caribbean this past March on Carnival. I liked Carnival, but I liked the experience on Royal Caribbean better. I absolutely loved the Bahamas and Caribbean and would go there over the Mexican Riviera any time. My favorite island was actually Carnival's private island.

I took a short cruise a couple years ago. It was a Royal Caribbean ship with stops in San Diego, Catalina, and Ensenada. The stop in Mexico wasn't good at all. But overall, the experience was good. I loved waking up in a new port each day.
