I have a bride who just told me she is two months pregnant and will be about seven at her wedding. Does anyone have any suggestions? good poses for a pregnant bride? Or has anyone done this before, and have any warnings? The wedding is going to be very upscale in a museum/garden in Savannah. I would much appreciate any advise.
Thanks

At seven months she's going to have a nice belly to show off. I wouldn't try to mask it in any way. Just have her flaunt her beautiful self like you would any bride and also the bump

Oh man, I've never shot a wedding but I can give you plenty of warnings about 7 month pregnant woman. Like don't piss them off and make sure she's in comfortable shoes. Oh, and that she gets to eat like every 20 minutes.
Sorry, I couldn't resist adding my unhelpful comment. I look forward to see the real replies.

I thought that was "make sure she gets to pee like every 20 minutes."

i did a wedding with a 7 month preggie bride, and she looked awesome! I know everyone is different, but i just made sure she didnt walk too far during portraits, that we had water etc for her, and i didnt hide her bump at all, but tried to show it off. Her dress was a clingy type that accentuated her bump and she looks fabulous.

I did one as well. Pics are
here. She did get tired easily and you might have to deal with her not being as responsive to your instructions as other brides might be. I think its a perfect opportunity to see real love as the groom very often bonds with the unborn baby and it makes for great emotions.
Good luck.

Man I remember shooting wedding when I was 71/2 months preggers! Totally not recommended! It was for a family member (I would not have accepted commissioned work that late in the pregnancy) but it was a hot day and I was dehydrated by the reception. Remember - lots of water - don't make her walk too far, try to convince her to wear flats at least for everything except the ceremony. Show off the bump - 3/4 and profile poses and to make her legs look skinnier (most of us get chunky thighs when pregnant!) put one leg forward, take her weight on her back leg and gently bend the knee.

A couple weekends ago I shot a wedding where the bride literally popped that night! I took just a few series of the couple standing up and had her sitting/lying for a lot of them and shot from above. She also took off her shoes once their "standing and walking" pictures were done and that helped her a lot. She will be pretty tired (hey I'm at 8 months today! so I know how tired your bride will feel!) so be sure to not go too fast between suggested poses and let her settle to her comfort zone or you will have a lot of pictures where she looks very tired.

Yea, prego ladies can look tired easily. I noticed that at the end of my maternity shoot last month.

Here's a link to one my studio did:
http://charlestonwedding.com/weddings/branyon/I definitely agree that you shouldn't hide it or be ashamed of it, instead celebrate it as part of their unique wedding as every wedding has its unique qualities!
But, if you do want to take some that are not-AS noticible of the belly, never underestimate the power of placing the bouquet in the right place! :-)

I just did a wedding where the bride was 6 months pregnant. Mind you they hired me over a year ago and I didn't know she was pregnant until I showed up to shoot that day. She was a great bride though, and up for lots of great poses, including laying in a field. We even did some corny shots with the groom making a heart on her tummy, etc., which isn't exactly my thing but I know they loved it. Embrace the tummy, don't try to cover it up.
