We were at a Hindu wedding a few weeks ago and as anyone who has been at a Hindu wedding can attest there are lots of details there to shoot. I grabbed this shot, and then it struck me what was in it. I'm sure it's not what it seems, but I have no idea why it's there!!

Well, before it was used for what we associate it with is was considered a symbol of luck by several religions, including Hinduism.

I have done one Hindu wedding and I have one more scheduled for August. I find them fabulous to shoot. I especially like the fact that unlike some Christian services, the pundits allow all sorts of creative freedoms in compositions. Ill shoot them anyday of the week.

They'll try to play if off like it's some sort of ancient symbol of good luck but they're likely members of the Aryan Brotherhood. Watch out, bad news.

Sneaky sneaky

Chris... don't panic. It's a common, positive symbol in many world faiths and was/is prominently used by Native Americans too. We just associate it with the Third Reich because that's the part of world history we got in school.
