This has been a big week for my husband and I. We celebrated our first anniversary on Sunday, and then yesterday we found out that he is officially in remission from Hodgkin's Lymphoma after 7 months of chemo and radiation treatments!

What a beautiful week. I just had to share. smile.gif

Sending you both lots of love and congratulations - I know what a great feeling it is.

Dont be surprised if both of you feel weird about stopping the regular hospital visits etc, its a hard thing to stop the routine since youve been doing it for so long. Its perfectly normal.

Well done and Im sooooo happy for you both smile.gif

You are very right about that! It is really weird being told something to the tune of, "You're done. Come back in 3 months for some bloodwork and scans, and contact us if you need anything in the meantime." It's kind of freaking me out.

I think that over the past several months I've actually found comfort in the "routine," as you called it, and knowing that we're going to see Dr.X this week and Dr.Y next week. As silly as it might sound, I think I've felt like Rich is somewhat protected when we have continuous appointments. Yes, silly.... And now we feel like the baby birds being pushed out of the nest. It is scary, but we will survive. We are excited about re-joining the rest of the world in a more normal manner. smile.gif

great news Melanie! i can some what relate to hearing the good news too! My mum had Leukaemia back in 1996 and its always nice to hear the Remission word come out of the Dr's Mouth!
