Do you notify suppliers from the day when you initially post images on the blog from a wedding day they were at?

Email Ive come up with so far:
"Just letting you know that Ive posted some images from -b&g's- wedding on my blog, and thought you might be interested. Please be aware that all images are copyrighted, so should you desire some for your own use, you will need to contact me first.

-blog address-

I'm sure you will agree it was a great day, and it was a pleasure to work with you on the day.

Kind Regards... etc"

I thought it might be a good way to network with suppliers so they can see my work etc. One issue I did think about though was the copyright one, and how people will most likely just pull them off the blog - and whilst I dont really mind so long as they keep my logo on them, I would like them to know I would prefer they talk to me first.

Any suggestions or ideas?

TIA

I would take out the 'please be aware' part and just write "If you'd like to use any of the images, please contact me!" and I'd also remove "I'm sure you will agree"... that is off-putting to me for a reason I can't quite put my finger on. Just "It was a beautiful day, and it was a pleasure..." sounds better to me.

Hey Erinna,

As long as your logo is on them, I would let them use them, karma will find you and you will get referrals I'm sure. I'd say - 'let me know if you would like any of the images and I can supply you with a high resolution file on disk.' Network, baby, network!

I'm planning on sending vendors a CD of related images after my summer weddings this year and a nice little note. Becker had a great idea on his B School Blog about sending vendors a little tri-fold card with related images that they can show potential brides.

I think it is great to notify them that the pictures are on your blog, but taking it one step up might make you their new favorite referral.
