I'm Carson, and after being a hobbyist photographer for years, am finally making the jump to turning it into a business. (Shockingly different from everyone here, I know.
) I've been second shooting weddings for a bit, and just booked my first wedding as the primary shooter for this July. Yay! I'm still wrestling with issues like how much to charge for albums without scaring a client off, how to feel comfortable guiding and posing an adult portrait session (5 year old girls need very little direction to be adorable, it seems), and finding comfy but fashionable shoes that won't leave my feet aching at the end of the night. Definitely need to go trying on the brands mentioned in the shoe thread and see if any of them fit my weird feet.
Other than psyching up for my first solo wedding, my big project is getting a logo and website done by a pro designer. While I'm waiting, I have a temporary site that I put together myself. Not particularly fancy, but it does the job for now.
Anyway, thanks for being such an informative community! It's so easy to spend hours going through all the threads I want to read...
