I have 3 songs that I need to join to make one single MP3 track. I used to do this in Windows using Audacity very easily, but since now I am on Mac, I need to know how to do this in GarageBand. Your quick help is greatly appreciated as I need this today. I have had my Mac for over a year, but never once have I even opened GarageBand. Thanx for the help.

I'm not sure how to do it in Garage Band, but you can download Audacity for Mac, too. smile.gif

I tried it but it hangs when trying to join the songs it hangs on me. I ran up against other issues as well. Doesn't seem very stable on Mac.

Audacity killed all my audio files.

In garage band, make a "new song" using "real instruments."

Delete the piano track.

Create a new track.

Drag-copy the first mp3 over onto the track.

Repeat for all three tracks.

Move tracks 2 and 3 to their respective positions in the music flow. Adjust volume and fade and overlap as needed.

Send song to iTunes. (Save the garage band file in case you want to edit further.)

In iTunes, convert to really low sampling mp3 so that the file is not bigger than around 2 mb.

Example here.
