I know a lot of people have questions about which books are good for sign in books and such, so I thought I'd share mine biggrin.gif Complete with lots of pictures.

It's a 28 page, 8x11in Stitch Bound Asukabook with varnish pages.

Lauren - I love the cover and the pagedesign/pics look nice too!
Thanks for sharing smile.gif

Awesome! I just ordered some samples for a multi-volume photo book and I can't wait to get them.

I like your chair too.

Lauren- The layout looks awesome. Thanks for sharing. I love seeing examples.

SO CUTE! I always order the 7x7 Asuka guestbook, but I've started offering the rectangular size as well. I lean towards square albums, but I think for a guestbook it's a neat idea.

Where do people sign in the book? Are there lines or do people just sign around the pictures?
Graeme
Lauren, what would something like that cost you?

Lauren, album looks really nice! Very nice and simple.
LaurenW
People sign around the pictures and on blank pages.

Graeme, if you go to AsukaBook.com and sign up, you can get full pricing info biggrin.gif

Thanks for the positive feedback everyone! The bride absolutely loves it smile.gif

Lauren, these are really great and thanks for sharing the ideas smile.gif

Does the ink smear with the varnished pages? Are they using sharpies or pens on the varnished pages?
LaurenW
You're welcome, Lisa biggrin.gif

Fine point sharpies or cheapo ball point pens work. I would stay away from liquid-y inks that take a while to dry.
Graeme
Im going to do a sample and see what it looks like.

Thanks ladies....
Christine
But I didn't think the Sharpies were archive quality ink? Won't they discolor and do weird things over time?

I use WHCC or Miller's hinged / layflat books for mine, and the matte-satin finish on the pages let us use archive ink pens on them. They can smear if not given a few minutes to dry, but I like knowing that they will be safe in the years ahead.
LaurenW
Christine, I have no idea. I'll have to look into the archive quality pens biggrin.gif That sounds like a great idea!
ShannonD
There are a lot of scrapbooking pens that would work like a sharpie that are archival, I know Creative Memories has them. They are pigmented ink...

BTW LOVE THE BOOK! I am in love with the cover image!
