Since I got pickpic up and running I'm now thinking of creating some generic business cards which have a link to my client's galleries which I can hand out at events, weddings etc.

* Has anyone got any examples of their own ones? I'm looking for ideas for layouts and also wording.

* Does this work for you?

Thanks guys!

We started doing event cards last year. We print an engagement image of the couple on the front with their new married name.

The back has our logo, our website address and it says, "You're invited to view images from (couples) wedding on our website after (insert date proofs will be online).

We put these event cards out next to our laptop with a slideshow of shots from the wedding day. Any cards that are left at the end of the night go to the couple. From what brides have told us, they put the leftovers in the thank you cards.

We've had increased print sales since we started these cards.

I use Moo Cards. You can use up to 100 different images per 100 pack. I generally use around 20 different engagement session images. People LOVE them. Although my print sales don't seem to have increased at all... but I think that may be because people go and see my "Coming Soon" jpg and forget to come back... or because I give the DVD... I'm working on that sad.gif

Excuse the poor low-res quality, but here is a pile sitting by the guestbook.

MOO cards have a card that actually 'stands up' - the image is much bigger and you can put all yoru details on the back, then stand them up! they look awfully cute too!

Hmmm I didn't even notice those, Tami!

Guess I should have specified those were the "Mini" Moo's biggrin.gif

Those Notecards look very cool, but look to be much more expensive. 16 for $24.99 vs 100 for $19.99.

We just received our first set of MOO as unique business cards, and I am very impressed. I have had good response with the few I've handed out so far as well. The paper is much thicker and better quality than I expected, and they have a nice finish.

I got mine in 6 days (which if I understand correctly is fast for Moo).

We will definitely be using these again.

I use the mini moos too!! My clients and the guests adore them!

Make sure it is OK with your client. Some might do not want to share their galleries.

I think Tami's intent was to set it up and let people remember/copy down the info, rather than take those very expensive note cards.

I like letting them take something. It may be a good idea to limit how many mini cards I put down though, as I've seen people shove a handful in their pocket... one lady asked my husband if she could take one of each.... I probably have 20 shots from the last wedding between getting ready time/reception of people's reactions to the cards. It's great smile.gif

I try to design the front side as something the guests can bring home as a nice keepsake from the wedding that they wouldn't mind putting on their refrigerator. The back side just gives them instructions on how to find them on-line. They can go at any time to "preregister" before the images are released and get a gift certificate to apply to their purchase of pics. When the photos are released, the system then e-mails everyone. Works great!

But that's still only 32 cards, right? My goal is for every couple to have a card.

i dont want people who dont want them to take them and then just throw them away. i can only do so much!

dont get me wrong, i love the moo cards and have used moo cards for a very long time, i just dont like the back -you can't select your font or personalize it with your logo.

you could, however, put your logo on the front instead of pics of the couple... but then that defeats the purpose of the cards?

I order mine through WHCC.... you can see what they look like [here]. Most of mine have an image on the front from the engagement session, but if they don't have an engagement session, I just do text on the front like the samples on my blog. They are really fun to have, and my clients LOVE them!

Looks great Lindsey! I get my business cards done by them. Again, people love 'em!

That's really cool idea. I wonder if any of my brides would allow me to put one stand-up card on each table? If they look good enough. A thought at least.

I actually do cards for all my events. If we don't get to do an engagement session, then I use some image that would fit their event- like a photo of the venue or something scenic colorado. I order mine from WHCC because they are cheap and come really quickly. Everyone loves them. I get compliments all the time on them- people think they're alot of fun and my couples love them too cause it prevents a lot of the- where can we see the pictures? I print plenty and make sure to give the bride a bunch after the wedding (sent in a package with a thank you and sometimes a little gift or bottle of wine or something) and they use them in thank-you's especially for people who couldn't attend the wedding. Here's a couple of the ones I've done. smile.gif

There are only a couple of us photographers here in San Diego who use Moo Cards from what I have seen. I ordered my second batch last October. I love those little cards and so do people I give them to. X2 you can't choose the font or font size on the back, but you can't beat the quality for the price and seeing that they come from London, they arrive here real fast.
Jessica Parkison
These look great, do you order them from Pictage?

My moo mini cards just came in the mail today. I think they are adorable, but I do wish I had the ability to edit on the back instead of use their text. I love that this bride actually asked me if I could have these because she saw them at another wedding and thought they were fantastic. Yea for awesome brides!
