Full Version: a ballad of black and white

in case you havent noticed, i love making things look old (i think i am either a very old soul, or was born in the wrong century wink.gif ) which is one of the reasons why i love everything in black and white.

so i threw this together, most of it is old stuff, but some is new and some images have been reinvented using some new methods/actions.

the soundtrack is off of vinyl - which i miss those pops and crackles dearly - and quality is poor, you may have to turn it up a tad - this music i think really enhances the show.

i hope you enjoy it!

Ok silly me.. When I posted in the other thread, I didn't actually find this post. It was too far down and I thought you were being silly and I was playing along.

But since this is REAL....

I love the vintage look. It really makes me think that these photographs are from the 1930's or something. If you didn't have the buildings, I would also think this was taken in Kentucky.

Your photos have a Henri Cartier-Bresson look/feel to them.

My favorite image was the pano of the cows... it looked like you arranged them.

You definitely have your own unique look and feel. It is getting so that I can tell the photo is yours just by the look of it. And that indeed is something very valuable.

These look really good, Tami.

Have you ever thought about submitting a small portfolio of images to Lenswork? I think you have a shot of getting in.

ps. Here's another thing you and I can agree on.
Feeling like we were born in the wrong century (and the love of B&W imagery). wink.gif
