I have a fever, runny eyes and nose, coughing fits and sneezing fits. Of course I will be shooting the wedding and have a 2nd...but she is still learning and needs guidance.
My question...should I let the bride and groom know that I am sick? It's not really something I can hide. I look and sound aweful.

No tell them it's sounds worse than it is and smile don't let them worry. Chicken soup during the wedding in a thermous if you have one will give you eneregy and keep some protein bars, don't get hungry a fever and cold is burning calories so have food around.

Same thing happened to me May 9th... had a stomach flu, threw up all day and night, and had a wedding the next day. Was supposed to do it alone, but I called my assistant/2nd and she joined me. It's amazing how much better we can "seem" when we're under pressure. I was super tired when in the car, and by the end, but the sickness didn't stop me during the photo-taking. The bride had no idea that I was sick. I wouldn't want her to worry!!
Get well soon!

No. Don't say anything. Put you best face and goooo!
I feel for you. I know it won't be fun. I shot a wedding while I had bronchitis and had to have therapy every 4 hours (breathing machine). I was told by my Doctor to stay away from the beach... guess where was the wedding... the beach!
And more recently I had to shot a wedding after breaking two ribs the day before... It was painful for sure!
So, I feel for you. The client never found out until later after the wedding.
wish you the best

Well...I lived! Thanks for all the kind words guys. I did pretty good. There were a few moments of foggy head and sneaking off to blow my nose...but I faked it it till I maked it! I hope I never have to shoot a wedding like that again.
