Next Thursday I will be doing a shoot for 2 Senior girls. They are both friends and want to do the session together. My problem...How do you creatively pose each girl that way their pics are not the same?

You know what I do, every teenager love American Egale and Hollister and Abercrombie and Fitch so before I go to a senior shoot I look at those website and get some good posing ideas. If you do someone sitting and the other one standing a lot they will be different. Take a look at these and just get ideas and usually teenage girls are hams and will go from there.

Thanks Dawn, I will check the links out. They won't be in the same pics on some of them, so how would you go about doing some by themselves, but not the same pose?

Ask them what they are into (hobbies), how they would describe their personalities, etc. and that might give you some insight into how to shoot them so that their photos are unique to each of them.

+1 If they like their ipod have them using it or if they play soccer or run or softball. They dont have to be in their outfits or anythings, just an picture of them holding it or something. http://www.fredegan.com/blog/portraits/ is really good at those kind of pictures finding out who they are and what they like and taking pictures of that.

Sorry about all the links.

You might want to try and see if you can pickup one of the teenage magazines. There are so many examples different lighting and poses just in magazines. I sometimes go to borders a day or two before a shoot and flip through a few mags on the type of subject that i will be shooting. you will be amazed at how much you can pickup just from flipping through one mag.
