I'm trying to submit my first folder to their file checker, and I keep getting the "some color profiles are not embedded" so I made an action (for the 80 page book) and ran it so they are all in sRGB. Still got the same message, so I called Asuka, and the woman was very nice but she said I should try individually re-saving all the files using 'save as' and make sure the color profile embedded box is checked. No way to automate.

Just griping.

(Unless someone actually has a way to do this quickly!)

I think once you do it a couple of times, PS saves the setting. I ran into this trouble too.

This is the best thread headline, ever.... I laughed so hard.

He he, thanks. I was pretty proud of it! I am always looking for creative ways to be vulgar on this board. JK

Hopefully I won't have to do that every time... sheesh!

Open the folder up in bridge - look at the metadata under "Color Profile" open & save the ones that are different instead of opening & saving each one. wink.gif

+1! Great title! Yes, ordering from Asuka can be a MAJOR pain. I do like their books though...and the price is right so I stick it out. Good luck.

Thank you! I will definitely do that on the next one if I have the same issue. smile.gif

Now I've gotten about halfway through the upload and got some error message that it can't upload the file because an unbuffered entity enclosing request blah whatever. Waiting on a response...

Oh wow. I just ordered my first Asuka about a week ago and it went soooo smoothly. I was surprised at how easy it was because I had read a few threads here complaining about how you have to jump through hoops to order.

I hope you get things ironed out! I'm excited to see/judge these books for myself.

The upload is back on... I just had to hit refresh on my browser. There was no link to 'restart upload' on the page so I wasn't sure what to do.The books are very pretty, I had some of their samples a while back. Really rich and vibrant color, and the pages don't get all finger-printy, which is a huge plus. I leave fingerprints on everything. I'm David Caruso's dream girl.
