I have a MAC G-4 & want to find an inexpensive software to put my photos in a slideshow, then burn a DVD that will allow it to play on: DVD player for TV
PC
MAC
I want it to be so easy for the user that all they need to do is pop it in their laptop & play.
BUT, I want the images to be clear & not compressed down. Viewing needs to be in a hi-res format.
I don't want to use IDVD either.

Any suggestions from the experts out there on OSP?
thank you,
Mike

Have you looked into Boinx Fotomagico 2 Pro and Toast? A pretty good combo IMHO.
David from Puerto Rico
You have several options.

(1) Ilife 08. If you have it, you are set. Otherwise just $79. You can use Imovie (got some nice new features for slide shows) or Idvd. With Imovie you can even post your slideshows to YouTube or burn them to a DVD using IDVD. Check it out here.

(2) Toast. Either version 8 or 9 I am not too familiar with it although I have it (best for burning DVD/CD) but I know it does slide shows. Not sure how simple or how complex. On sale for $79.00

(3)Fotomagico. My favorite. You can have Fotomagico express for $49.00 or Fotomagico Pro for $129. Well worth it, Here is a comparison between both versions.
