So, my friend was at a wedding over the weekend and shot this picture and sent it to me because she knew I would enjoy this! Please enjoy her notes, I've blurred the faces of the couple to protect the innocent! smile.gif

*Edit* This is the actual photographer, but he's a hired friend, so she referred to him as Uncle Bob. smile.gif

I would certainly hope so. Unless that flash was on. The funny thing is, my friend warned her about hiring a non-professional friend. Woops.
Lisette
That's just a little too close for comfort! I wonder if the couple was upset?

The photographer was still in that spot when the recessional took place. What????!
AZJamie
That is horrible and embarrassing!

Hang on y'all, this is your opportunity to sell. My wife and attended a wedding about 8 months ago and this exact thing happened with the couples hired photographer, we were just attendees. The guy had only a 16-35L and never changed his lens once and he shot several times in the position that the moron shown above is in. How is this a good selling point? I talk to my clients about that guy all the time and tell tham that we would NEVER EVER do something like that. And now we have a picture we can all use as an example!

Ok, off my soap box of reality.

THIS GUY'S AN IDIOT! laughing.gif Uh yeah I have a camera.gif Can I stand next to you during the ceremony cause I don't like being alone.
*Troy*
Another reason that we get stuck in the balcony with the church lady keeping her eagle eyes on us!

I wonder if he had the "ask forgiveness later" attitude?

Hopefully he got the "we'll kick his butt later" treatment!

Hey Mark,

I think we should stage one with YOU in that position standing up straight and shooting down on the wedding couple - that would sell - laughing.gif
Dave T.
I gotta give the guy points for effort...but jeez! get a clue, pal!!!
Amy Clark
laughing.gif My day is complete.

Hey, can we use this as an example?

I totally agree with you! As professionals, we have the proper gear and if not, we are able to rent the proper gear to make sure the client has adequate coverage. There is more to the story than what I've posted but it just gets so ridiculous and I don't have time to write it all down! But it's good, so when I do have time, I will share more!

My friend will be posting more about the story soon. She is a photographer and I've been trying to get her on OSP for a while. So, I will ask her that! smile.gif

alifestudio
wow. I can't wait to hear the rest of the story. smile.gif
