My Alien Bees arrived last week, and I've been wanting to open them up every day since then!
Today I finally did (even though I probably should work on email a bit more... that can wait!!!)
I went out to the trampoline where all the kids were playing.
I ran one 1600 light off an extension cord from the house,
used the sync cable that came with the light,
set my ISO to 100,
manual mode, ss: 1/250th, and I varied the aperture and the light's power till I was happy with the sky & the skin tones (yes, chimping galore)
These are screenshots straight out of Bridge:

The kids took turns holding the light & pointing it at the jumper. I was outside the net, holding my camera (5D w/24-70) inside the net, pointing it at the jumper blind & just shooting away.
Here's a shot I did w/o the light, just to see what it looked like without:

This stuff is fun!!!
I don't want to lug all this stuff to the beach, but I will be playing more with this & soccer & action stuff! And some cool portraits, too!
