Those predesigns look great!! smile.gif Wow. A design already, from Saturday? That's insane.
~stephanie~
wow you are really talented! Great work smile.gif
Michelle Ross
Thanks guys! It's not so insane once ya get into the right workflow. It seems extreme, but it's pretty easy!
If you would like more info I can go into more detail, but I think I'd probably be re-hashing old lessons from Kevin 'Pre-Design' Swan and Gary 'Hot Potato' Fong.
Jennifer Grigg
Great work. I have heard the Gary/Kevin words before, but WOW way to put the words to work and apply what you have learned. Amazing album in less than 48 hours. I'll bet the bride and groom are floored.

I love the way you worked those cool green walls into page backgrounds. I need walls like that!

Happy Memorial Day!

Hell I'm still burning discs from Saturday! Remind me again why I agreed to 2nd for you THIS Saturday??? LOL

Great work, as always, Michelle! smile.gif

BTW -- where were you on Saturday?...I totally do not recognize the venues... huh.gif

Dan,
Saturday was a BFF wedding where I gave a family friend a big discount.
The Church was Calvary Mid Rivers, which has lots of brightly colored walls in the children's area. The reception was at Bear Creek Golf Course, right down the road from the church.

My workflow usually goes like this:
Saturday night- SynchToy files from Laptop to Desktop while enjoying SNL + bottle'o'beer.

Sunday evening-
Watch Tv with hubby while X'ing and P'ing my picks (1000 out of 3000) on my laptop (connected to desktop by Remote Desktop Connection) in Lightroom. Once done, choose 300-400 faves from the 1000 picks and mark '6'/Red.

Jump downstairs (for accurate color on desktop) to develop just the 300/400 album picks. Export.

Categorize into folders (GettingReadyGirls, Details, Ceremony etc.).

Go back upstairs to watch tv and work on desktop. Use scratch paper to Sketch out album designs. This is a huge time-saver. It makes sure I'm not wishy-washy when layout time comes.

Monday:
Plug sketched designs into InDesign (Some weeks my assistant comes over to do this while I clean house). Export. Open in PS and save each page as jpg. Re-import into LR for slideshow.

Easy peezy!
