I am so terribly sad to hear about the loss of Steven Curtis & Mary Beth Chapman's 5 year old little girl, Maria. Please pray for their family. Bob and I and our kiddos went to see Steven in concert last week and we all fell instantly in love with him. The way he spoke about his family took my breath away. His two sons, Caleb and Will, play in the band with him. He is incredibly dedicated to his faith and to his family. He and his wife are huge advocates of adoption, that alone made me fall in love with this family. The grief they are going through is unimaginable to us. Our hearts go out to them. Dear Lord, please keep your hand on this amazing family and guide them through this difficult time. Give them the strength to pull through this and to look to each other for support. Provide them with peace knowing little Maria is safe in your arms. Please dear Lord. Amen.

Bob and I feel so numb. Life is so short. Appreciating every moment is what is truly important. Thank you dear Lord for blessing us with so many moments that take our breath away.... all the good ones and the not so good ones.

I had to share this videos with you all. My daughter, Alli, faithfully listens to WBGL Family Radio every day and she came to me the other day saying she loved this song she heard called "Cinderella" and if you know anything about my daughter, Alli, she is the last person on Earth that would love anything Cinderella. So, of course, I had to hear this song.

Well, a bucket of tears later led me to this video on You Tube of Steven Curtis Chapman; the artist who sings this song. I, believe,Kenny Kim, invited Bob and I to a concert of his several months back but I didn't know much about this artist and we were busy that evening and we didn't attend. Now, that I see this video, I'm so sorry that we missed this concert. Kenny, next time we will clear our schedules.... I promise!

I am so impressed with this man and his beliefs. He is an adoptive parent too as of course that is so inspiring to us! I just wanted to share this video on Facebook with you all. ENJOY!

Dawn

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The 5-year-old daughter of Grammy-winning Christian music star Steven Curtis Chapman was struck and killed Wednesday by a sport utility vehicle driven by her brother, authorities said.

The girl, Maria Sue, was hit in the driveway of the family's home Wednesday afternoon by a Toyota Land Cruiser driven by her teenage brother, said Laura McPherson, a spokeswoman for the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

The brother, whose name and exact age weren't available, apparently did not see the girl, McPherson said. No charges are expected.

"It looks like a tragic accident," she said.

Several family members witnessed the accident, which happened in Williamson County just south of Nashville. The girl died later at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, hospital spokeswoman Laurie Holloway said.

In a statement, Velvet Kelm, a publicist for Chapman, said Maria was the Chapmans' youngest daughter.

Chapman, who is originally from Paducah, Ky., and his wife have promoted international adoption and have three daughters from China, including Maria. They also have three biological children.

The singer's Web site says the couple was persuaded by their oldest daughter to adopt a girl from China. The experience led the family to adopt two more children and create Shaohannah's Hope, a foundation and ministry to financially assist thousands of couples in adoption.

The Chapmans did missionary work at Chinese orphanages in 2006 and 2007, according to the Web site.

"After our first trip to China, my wife and I knew our lives were changing -- our eyes and hearts were opening to how big God really is, and we have wanted to experience more of that," Chapman says on the Web site.

"We've really wondered whether or not we should just go to China and stay there. But I don't think so. I believe God is saying, 'I want you to go, get your heart broken, your eyes opened, and then take this story back to the church in America and around the world."'

The 45-year-old singer also has released a book about being a father titled "Cinderella: The Love of Daddy and his Princess." He has won five Grammy awards and 54 Dove awards from the Gospel Music Association, according to Kelm.

Now that I have a little girl of my own, I can not imagine the pain this poor family is going through. May God give them the strength to endure. How can someone EVERY get over something like this? I simply can't imagine.

What a wonderful family.
