Sometimes I forget to take pictures daily that mean something for me - something to look back on in years to come. Reading this I really feel that I should - at least just one.

I ran across this article and had to share it with fellow photogs -

What a touching story - it truly moved me and made me tear up. It made me feel like I knew him from his pictures. I hope you enjoy it.

The actual site that houses ALL of the Polaroids is down - I really hope it comes back up soon.

WOW! What a great motivation for me.....I have wanted to do this for sometime, but just never do. What I love most about these images- is that none of them is perfect (technically speaking) they are what they are- no PS, nothing. Isn't that how life is? As I was sitting here today, thinking how I imagine myself saying to others that I meet in person (on days that I feel totally ugly inside and out) hold on a minute- let me get out my actions so I look better. smile.gif Ha!
These are just perfect. Life as it is. smile.gif

Thank you again for sharing your find!

Wow that IS inspiring! I'm hoping the site with all the images comes back....

Touching...he must have been a cool guy.The picture of him with the eyeball on is head is inspired by a band called the Residents. Being that he was also a Frank Zappa fan, I know the he had some pretty unique musical and artistic tastes. This story reminds me somewhat o the movie "smoke" in which a guy photographs hos corner tobacco shop from the opposite corner at 8am every day. You gotta see the movie to get it. (it's also got some love for canon AE-1 afficianados) I heard a discussion recently about how many photographers only shoot when getting paid. If we can shoot one seemingly meaningless, but personal picture every day, it can speak volumes in the course of a lifetime.Touching...he must have been a cool guy.The picture of him with the eyeball on is head is inspired by a band called the Residents. That's really wonderful. I agree with Dave that it's the small moments every day that make up the stories of our lives.
