Wow, so I have been doing my slideshows on my Blu site with the Blu slideshows. It took me forever to upload and it would often lock up on me. SO I remembered hearing several other OSP'rs mention ShowIt and so I tried the demo. Well I pretty much kicked myself wondering "where have I been?". This makes life so much easier!!! $200 for another bit of software? You bet! very cool. very helpful.

Now, just to figure out how to get it online to view. I guess I have to look at the tutorials. Is it easy to add to a Blu site?

You can simply ftp your folder to your blu site. Showit is amazing! I'm so glad it was one of my first software purchases a year ago.

Jamie, I wish it was my first. I have been laboring over slideshows and now I will have some fun! Did you have to get your ftp info from Blu? I will send a support ticket but I don't know if it will take some time to get back? I haven't had the need to have the info in the past...

well, just sent off an e-mail to Blu in hopes that I can get my ftp info. I am excited to post the newest slideshow!

The FTP info is usually in the first email that Blu sends to you when the site is set up if you still have it.

Tami, I added my Blu slideshow at the beginning and have loved it up until lately. But recently when adding images it is going at a snails pace and will lock up on me a good bit...maybe a Mac/Firefox thing? Either way, I went ahead and tried Showit for fun and oh my gosh, I love how fast and easy it is!Hi Regina! Yep, they sure did, they sent it to me when I first bought the template and was living in Denver. Two moves later and I have lost the doggone e-mail. I am sure it is here somewhere but I don't have it in my arsenal of passwords and user names. Probably should since that one is so important

i wasnt aware you could make a slideshow through blu? how do you do it? excuse me if i am just being really dumb here - but for the life of me, i just can't get my head around this

Your FTP into is distributed by the website host. If that is BLU they know it and you should ask em'. If not, hit up the company that hosts your site. Hope this helps

Ok, when I got my template nearly 2 years ago there was an option available shortly after I got it to add a slideshow option. The slideshow is just another bit of software for slideshows and I liked the fact that all of it was in one location. If I didn't add that option, then I couldn't do those slideshows, but I could have had any other type if I chose. As far as I know, you do not need to have Blu's slideshow option to make Showit work or any other slideshow software...
someone correct me if I am wrong about that. See, now I am merely waiting to get my ftp info from them so I can have Showit on my site. They may have changed a few things in 2 years though...
