All I get is an error message saying it has encountered a problem and needs to close. WTH? puterpissed.gif I've never had this happen before. Restarting doesn't work.
Anyone have a clue?
I've got over 2000 images to edit
PC, Windows XP Pro, CS3.

This happened to me once, I rebooted and it was fine. Did re-start bridge or re-boot your system?

How?

My editing PC is not on the internet so in order to update I have to go to adobe.com and look for the latest updates.
Hope this helps!

How?

Open your web browser. Navigate to http://store.apple.com and buy a mac.

ohhh or did you mean how do you run adobe updater? I know on os x its a standalone program, if that's true for of you should be able to launch adobe updated on its own and download/install the updates.

Trevor, I appreciate how much you love the mac and I'm actually getting ready to buy one in the next year or so but it's so unhelpful when someone is in distress to say, "get a mac." I realize you offered constructive advice too, but the mac advice is so flip that it doesn't reflect well on your otherwise helpful nature.

Michael, here are a few links to get you started....

Troubleshooting Bridge (look at Item #2 - that might help you):

dude, matt... joke.

as far as adobe updates go, seriously run those and it should fix your problem. if updating and matt's links don't help... call adobe and yell at them.

I didn't take it personally w/ Trevor :-)

(And Trevor, that 20" ACD? Still not working, going to see my computer geek cousin tommorrow.)

I could not find anything on Adobes (semi-lame) site, so I said $%#@ it and uninstalled and re-installed my whole CS3 suite. NOT how I planned on spending the day. Seems to work (for moment)

Will check out the links Matt included tonight.

To be continued......

Was working!!! thumbsup.gif
Installed Camera Raw update, then installed Bridge update.
Guess what? Doesn't F*^$@)g work--AGAIN. Same error message.
Unistalled everything AGAIN, REINSTALLED it again. Bridge works, but the older version of ACR sucks (the one on my CS3 suite disk); I've been using like 4.0 or something.......it's up to like 4.1.1).

Obviously my POS PC did not like something.

Would like to try the ACR update again, but don't want to have to repeat the whole procees ....... for a 3rd time. I've already lost a whole day of work/editing.

And yes Trevor, I do want a Mac, but that's not gonna happen anytime soon unless I book 3 large gigs in the next month or win the lotto.

Edit: BTW, I did try the Bridge update before and after uninstalling/reinstalling. The only other updates I didn't have were for In Design and Illustrator, which I do not use anyway.

If my cousin can't fix things then I will simply run over or blow up my computer and go back to shooting film, lol.
